The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the formation of a 110-member National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) in preparation for its highly anticipated 2025 Elective National Convention, scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

This strategic move follows a resolution by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), which selected Ibadan as the host city to reinforce the PDP’s presence in the South-West region.

The NCOC is tasked with overseeing all logistical, procedural, and strategic arrangements to ensure a smooth and transparent convention.

The 2025 convention is widely viewed as a pivotal moment for the PDP, as it sets the stage for internal leadership restructuring and strategic positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections. With growing anticipation and internal contests already underway, the party aims to use the convention to galvanize support and reaffirm its democratic values.
