President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a rallying call to the Nigerian Armed Forces, emphasizing that the hopes and security of over 200 million Nigerians rest on their shoulders in the ongoing battle against terrorism, banditry, and all forms of criminality threatening national peace.
Addressing troops during a morale-boosting visit to a military installation in the North-East on Friday, President Tinubu commended the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by men and women in uniform. He assured them of his administration’s full support in equipping and empowering the military to decisively confront insurgent and criminal elements.
“You are the pride of our nation,” President Tinubu said. “The entire country is counting on you. We will not rest until every inch of Nigerian territory is safe, and our citizens can sleep peacefully without fear of terrorists or bandits.”
Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to security reforms, the President announced increased investment in military infrastructure, intelligence gathering, and troop welfare. He also urged security agencies to strengthen inter-agency cooperation to achieve faster and more lasting results.
“Our goal is simple: to restore peace and security to every community. You are not alone in this fight. Nigeria stands with you,” the President said.
