The Labour Party (LP) is set to hold its National Executive Council (NEC) and stakeholders' meetings on April 9, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the party and strategize for future political endeavors.
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, along with Alex Otti, the party's gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, have both confirmed their participation in the upcoming meetings. The sessions are designed to bring together key party members, national leadership, and stakeholders to discuss the party’s direction, future plans, and critical issues facing the nation.
The NEC meeting will address a variety of pressing political matters, including organizational restructuring, member engagement, and strategies for the upcoming electoral cycles. Additionally, the stakeholders' meeting will focus on building alliances, strengthening the party's grassroots support, and enhancing collaboration among party members across various regions.
“We are committed to making the Labour Party a force for positive change in Nigeria. The meetings will serve as an opportunity to deliberate on how we can work together to achieve our shared vision of a prosperous and inclusive nation,” said Peter Obi.
Alex Otti emphasized the importance of unity within the party: “The success of the Labour Party hinges on the collective efforts of its members. The discussions on April 9 will guide us as we continue to promote the ideals of good governance, transparency, and accountability.”
