Libya’s Counter-Terrorism Forces have apprehended two undocumented Nigerian nationals in Misrata on charges of drug trafficking, marking a significant step in the country’s ongoing crackdown on transnational narcotics operations.

According to a statement released by Migrant Rescue Watch, the suspects were found in possession of hashish, hallucinogenic pills including Tramadol and Lyrica, and a substantial amount of cash believed to be proceeds from the illicit trade.

The arrest was carried out during a targeted operation aimed at dismantling trafficking networks operating within Libya’s borders. Authorities have since transferred the case to the public prosecution for further investigation and potential legal action.
