The Anambra State Government has taken decisive action following the brutal assault and public humiliation of a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Miss Jennifer Elobor, by operatives of the Agunechemba Security outfit.

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, in a swift and uncompromising response, has ordered the immediate dismissal of the eight vigilante operatives involved in the incident. The operatives, who were reportedly pursuing suspected cultists, deviated from their mandate and violently attacked the corps member—an act described by the administration as “utterly condemnable and outside the bounds of lawful conduct.”

Speaking at the agency’s headquarters in Awka, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Hon. Ken Emeakayi, confirmed that the dismissed operatives will be handed over to the police for prosecution. “This administration will not tolerate any form of brutality, abuse of office, or unprofessionalism from security personnel. Justice will be served,” Emeakayi stated.
