The White House welcomed the first meeting of the FIFA Task Force, a collaborative effort to prepare for two historic tournaments to be hosted on American soil. Beginning this June, the United States will host the prestigious 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, an accomplishment in club football around the world. Just a year later, in summer 2026, the globe will be looking at the United States as we welcome teams and fans from across the globe to the Official FIFA World Cup Tournament.

This initial meeting brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, sporting leaders, and industry experts, to discuss logistics, security, infrastructure, and fan engagement strategies to deliver an experience that would be remembered by players and fans alike. Dedicated to excellence, the Task Force is committed to seizing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to market the United States as a world-class destination for international sports events.

"Since we're about to welcome the world with open arms and open doors into our stadiums, cities, and towns, today's assembly is a reflection of our pledge to bring world-class tournaments to the world," President Donald Trump stated. "It's not just about the sport—uniting countries, empowering young champions, and welcoming the competition spirit onto the grandest of stages."
