Senator Ali Ndume, representing the Borno South Senatorial District, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize Nigeria's pressing challenges by declaring a state of emergency on the nation's security and economic sectors. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television's "Politics Daily," Senator Ndume emphasized the urgent need for decisive action to address these critical issues.
Highlighting the deteriorating state of security and the economy, Senator Ndume stated, "Let the President forget about everything and concentrate on three things – security, welfare of citizens, and the economy. His attention should go there as number one, then he should create a state of emergency in those areas."
The Senator's remarks come amidst growing concerns over the nation's economic instability and persistent security threats. He urged the President to focus on these areas to ensure the welfare and safety of all Nigerians.
While commending the President's efforts in other areas, Senator Ndume expressed his belief that a concentrated approach to security and economic reforms would yield significant benefits for the country. He also called for collaborative efforts among political leaders to address these challenges effectively.
