Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, has confidently declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains unshaken by discussions of a coalition among opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Saturday, Governor Uzodimma emphasized the APC's commitment to governance and progress, dismissing coalition talks as inconsequential.

“What is a coalition? We are practising partisan democracy, not coalition democracy,” Governor Uzodimma stated. “The APC is the ruling party, and one does not change a winning team. Nigerians will decide our fate, but that decision is years away. For now, our focus remains on delivering on the mandate entrusted to us.”

Governor Uzodimma highlighted the APC's achievements and its growing support base, noting that 79% of his former opponents in Imo State have joined the party since 2020. He reiterated the party's dedication to unity and collaboration, emphasizing that progress is achieved through collective effort.

Addressing the political crisis in Rivers State, Governor Uzodimma expressed support for the declaration of an emergency rule, citing the need to protect national economic assets. “The president acted to quell tensions in Rivers. Leadership is divine, and it is God who ordains,” he remarked.

The APC remains steadfast in its mission to build a safer and stronger Nigeria, with Governor Uzodimma affirming the party's readiness to face the 2027 polls with confidence and determination.
