The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has lauded the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to fostering inclusive governance. Governor Sule disclosed that President Tinubu allowed state governors the autonomy to amend tax reform bills in a way that reflects the preferences and priorities of their respective states.

Speaking at the National Economic Summit in Abuja, Governor Sule emphasized the critical role of cooperation between the federal government and state governments in shaping policies that are both effective and relevant to local contexts. He revealed that under President Tinubu’s leadership, the federal government demonstrated a unique level of flexibility and engagement in the tax reform process, allowing state governors to propose adjustments that cater to their states' specific needs.

"The President has shown great leadership by ensuring that the tax reform bills are not one size fits all," Governor Sule remarked. "He gave us the space to amend the bills and align them with our local economic realities. This collaborative approach ensures that both federal and state tax policies contribute effectively to national development while supporting the growth of businesses and improving the welfare of our citizens."

Governor Sule also highlighted that the amended tax reforms will enhance state revenue generation, improve the ease of doing business, and encourage greater investments across the country. He expressed optimism that these adjustments would lead to an overall strengthening of Nigeria’s economic framework.
