The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is excited to announce that it will soon unveil a comprehensive overhaul of its official website, aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in its operations. This initiative was revealed by the Governor of the CBN, Olayemi Cardoso, during a special summit dinner event at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit held in Abuja.
Governor Cardoso emphasized that the revamped website will provide a more user-friendly experience and greater access to critical information for stakeholders. He stated, "Information is something that we are ensuring to improve on at the Central Bank. We are bringing out activities that are closer to the people." The new platform will serve as an essential resource for disseminating information about the Bank's operations, financial statistics, regulatory frameworks, and updates on monetary policy.
The upcoming website redesign is part of the CBN's broader commitment to fostering trust and engagement with the public. Cardoso remarked, "Our website is about to be significantly overhauled. Very shortly, we will see a new website. And that’s all headed in the direction of transparency and openness."
The CBN aims to ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of its activities and objectives, thereby reinforcing its dedication to improving communication and accessibility.
