In a bold move to enhance productivity and efficiency within the Ondo State civil service, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has distributed 14 brand-new utility vehicles to Permanent Secretaries across the state.
The symbolic handover ceremony took place at the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka, Akure, where Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of equipping public servants with the tools necessary to deliver timely and effective service. The gesture also extended to four retired Permanent Secretaries who served under his administration, underscoring the governor’s commitment to honoring service and continuity.
“This is just symbolic to support you, to help you be more productive, move around, do your job with ease, and be more efficient,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated. “As leaders of the public service, you must not deliver short or deliver late”.
The initiative aligns with the governor’s broader “OUR EASE” agenda, aimed at streamlining governance and improving service delivery across all ministries and departments.
Mr. Bayo Philip, the Head of Service, expressed gratitude on behalf of the civil service, noting that the governor’s consistent support has kept the administrative machinery running smoothly. He praised Aiyedatiwa’s round-the-clock dedication to the state’s progress.
Mrs. Foluke Tunde-Daramola, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, also lauded the governor’s gesture, describing him as “a good father to the state” and reaffirming the loyalty of the Permanent Secretaries to his administration.
