The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has officially paraded Emami Ajetsibogho, popularly known as Warri Kinsman, following his arrest for the alleged trafficking of 414.2 kilograms of cannabis sativa. The suspect, a younger brother of prominent Delta figure Chief Ayiri Emami, was apprehended on June 25, 2025, by NDLEA operatives in Lagos after a covert operation.

The illicit substance, reportedly valued at over ₦200 million in street worth, was discovered concealed in multiple bags, sealed in white and black nylon sachets. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the agency’s ongoing crackdown on high-profile drug trafficking networks.

Sources within the agency had earlier hinted at an alleged attempt to suppress news of the arrest, citing the suspect’s influential family ties. Civil society groups, including the Concerned Citizens for Justice and Accountability, have since called for transparency and accountability in the investigation, urging the NDLEA to resist political interference.

In response to mounting public pressure, the NDLEA has now confirmed Ajetsibogho’s detention and assured Nigerians of a full and impartial investigation. “No individual, regardless of status or connection, is above the law,” a senior NDLEA official stated.
