The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, has held high-level diplomatic talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing, focusing on the ongoing conflict involving Israel and strengthening bilateral relations between Tehran and Beijing.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Araghchi condemned the recent Israeli military actions in the region, describing them as “aggressive and destabilizing,” and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people. Araghchi called on the international community, particularly global powers like China, to take a firm and balanced stance toward ending what he termed “Israeli occupation and war crimes.”

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated China’s longstanding position in favor of a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on international law and the principle of a two-state solution. He urged all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could escalate tensions further across the Middle East.

The two ministers also discussed the broader scope of Iran-China relations, emphasizing deepening strategic cooperation under the framework of the 25-year comprehensive cooperation agreement signed between both countries. Areas of focus included energy, infrastructure, defense, and technology transfer, with both sides agreeing to expedite key joint development projects.

“We value China’s role as a stabilizing force in international affairs and a reliable partner in our region,” said Araghchi after the talks. “Our nations share a vision of multilateralism, sovereignty, and non-interference, and today’s meeting was another step forward in realizing that shared agenda.”

Minister Wang underscored China's support for diplomatic dialogue over confrontation and reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to playing a constructive role in Middle Eastern peace efforts, while continuing to enhance bilateral ties with Iran across multiple sectors.
