The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The announcement was made today by the Registrar of the Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during a press briefing at the JAMB headquarters in Abuja.
According to the Board, over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat for the examination held between April 19 and April 29, 2025, across the country. Of this number, the results of 1,904,189 candidates have been released and are now available for checking via the official JAMB result-checking portal and SMS service.
However, the Board revealed that it has withheld the results of 39,834 candidates pending further investigation. Prof. Oloyede noted that the affected results are being scrutinized for various infractions including suspected examination malpractice, impersonation, and biometric discrepancies.
“The Board remains committed to the integrity and credibility of its examination process,” Prof. Oloyede stated. “While the majority of candidates conducted themselves responsibly, we must uphold standards by thoroughly investigating any anomalies.”
