President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Nigeria following an extended visit to France that lasted nearly three weeks. The trip, which commenced in early April, has drawn significant attention both locally and internationally, as speculation grew regarding the nature of his stay.

According to sources from the Presidency, the visit to France was largely private, although it included several high-level engagements with European investors and discussions centered around strengthening bilateral economic cooperation between Nigeria and key European partners.

President Tinubu is expected to arrive in Abuja within the next 24 hours and resume full presidential duties immediately upon his return. The Presidency has maintained that the President remained actively involved in national affairs throughout his stay, receiving briefings and issuing directives remotely.

The President’s return comes at a pivotal time, as the nation continues to navigate key reforms and initiatives aimed at economic revitalization, security stabilization, and improved governance.

A statement from the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity emphasized that "President Tinubu’s time abroad was not a vacation but a blend of private time and important engagements that align with his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria."
