In a bold call for accountability and transparency in leadership, Akinbodunse has urged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to extend its drug integrity testing initiative beyond its current scope. He emphasized the importance of applying these tests to individuals seeking elective offices, as well as those currently holding positions of authority at both national and state levels.

Akinbodunse highlighted the critical role of drug-free leadership in fostering trust and integrity within governance structures. "Leadership demands responsibility, and responsibility begins with personal integrity. Extending drug integrity tests to all levels of leadership will ensure that those entrusted with public service are fit to lead," he stated.

The proposal comes at a time when public scrutiny of leadership ethics is at an all-time high. Akinbodunse's call aligns with the NDLEA's ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and promote a culture of accountability across Nigeria.

By advocating for this initiative, Akinbodunse aims to set a precedent for ethical governance and inspire confidence in the nation's leadership. He believes that this step will not only deter substance abuse but also reinforce the values of transparency and responsibility in public service.
