The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the promotion and confirmation of 47 senior staff members of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This decision, conveyed through a letter dated March 13, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the Board's commitment to fostering institutional growth and operational efficiency.

The promoted staff include nine Acting Directors who have been confirmed as substantive Directors following rigorous written examinations and formal oral interviews. This achievement underscores the Ministry's dedication to excellence in leadership and effective policy implementation.

The approval comes amidst the absence of the NBTE Governing Board since March 2021. The Ministry expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu would establish a new Governing Board this year to ensure the Board's optimal functioning and delivery of its mandate.

The Director of Human Resources at the Ministry, Omotayo F. Adeyemi, emphasized the importance of this decision in maintaining the Board's operational integrity and advancing its mission to enhance technical education in Nigeria.

The Federal Ministry of Education remains committed to supporting the NBTE in its efforts to provide quality technical education and training, which are vital for national development.
