Gunmen Abduct Three Federal College Students in Ondo State, Demand N15 Million Ransom

In a shocking turn of events, three students from the Federal College of Education in Ondo State have been abducted by armed gunmen. The incident occurred on the night of February 10, 2025, when the victims were taken from their off-campus accommodation.


The armed men, believed to be part of a criminal syndicate operating in the region, stormed the area and kidnapped the students, demanding a ransom of N15 million for their safe release. The families of the victims have been notified and are currently working with local authorities to secure the release of their loved ones.


The Federal College of Education has expressed its deep concern over the abduction, calling it a grave security issue. The institution’s management is collaborating with the Ondo State Police Command and other security agencies to ensure the swift and safe return of the students.


“We are deeply distressed by this heinous act and are doing everything in our power to assist law enforcement in bringing those responsible to justice,” said Professor Olumide Adebanjo, the Provost of the Federal College of Education. “Our thoughts are with the families of the abducted students, and we stand united in seeking their immediate release.”


In the wake of this abduction, local authorities have heightened security measures across the region, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The police are investigating leads and have assured the public that they are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice.
