Born on April 10, 1928, in the southwestern part of Nigeria, Chief Adebanjo was a respected leader in Yoruba affairs and an influential voice in Nigerian politics. He was deeply involved in the advocacy for restructuring Nigeria and a vocal proponent of a true federal system. Chief Adebanjo’s decades of leadership within Afenifere earned him respect not only in Nigeria but globally.
