The late Oluwatuyi, former Ondo State Government Secretary, tragically fell victim to the ineptitude of the current administration under Governor Aiyedatiwa, according to a statement from former AAC gubernatorial candidate, Ajay. Ajay, speaking out following the untimely passing of the prominent government official, has criticized the state's healthcare infrastructure and governance under Aiyedatiwa, claiming that inadequate facilities and neglect led to the unfortunate chain of events.
According to Ajay, Oluwatuyi was involved in a tragic accident that necessitated urgent medical attention. However, due to the deplorable state of health services in Ondo State, the victim had to be rushed to hospitals outside of the state for critical care. The lack of functional healthcare facilities within the state, Ajay asserts, is a direct result of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s failure to prioritize the wellbeing of citizens.
"Governor Aiyedatiwa's government has failed to provide the necessary infrastructure for our people. This failure is most evident in the state's healthcare sector, which is in a dire state," Ajay stated. “The unfortunate death of Mr. Oluwatuyi could have been avoided if the state government had invested in modern healthcare facilities and ensured that our hospitals had the necessary equipment and trained personnel to handle such emergencies.”
Ajay further emphasized that the incident underscores the broader failure of the Aiyedatiwa administration to create a sustainable and reliable healthcare system in Ondo State. He added that many lives have been lost due to the lack of adequate medical attention within the state, with citizens forced to travel out of state or even abroad for medical care.
