In a significant move to uphold integrity within the judicial system, the Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission has announced the dismissal of three judicial officers for serious misconduct, including the illegal sale of court exhibits and the suppression of a litigant's deposit.

These officials were found guilty of engaging in corrupt practices that undermine the rule of law and public trust in the judiciary. Specifically, Iyal Ibrahim and Baffa Alhaji were implicated in the unlawful sale of vehicles that were exhibits in ongoing court cases. Meanwhile, Abdu Hassan Aujara was dismissed for suppressing a deposit of N965,000 made by a litigant in a recovery case, which constitutes a grave violation of ethical standards expected from judicial personnel.

In addition to the dismissals, the commission has also advised three Shari'a Court judges to resign due to their involvement in abuses of power. These actions reflect the commission's commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring accountability within the judiciary.

Chairman of the Jigawa State Judicial Service Commission stated, "These actions are part of our ongoing efforts to combat corruption and restore public confidence in our judicial system. We will not tolerate any form of misconduct among our officials."
