The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Bago, has issued a public advisory urging Christian pilgrims to reconsider their plans for pilgrimage to Israel amidst escalating safety concerns in the region. This caution comes in light of recent developments that have raised alarms regarding the security situation in Israel.

In his statement, Governor Bago emphasized the importance of the safety and well-being of citizens, particularly during religious travels. He noted that while pilgrimage is a significant aspect of Christian faith, the current circumstances necessitate a careful evaluation of travel plans.

"Given the ongoing tensions and potential risks associated with traveling to Israel at this time, we strongly advise our Christian community to postpone their pilgrimage until it is deemed safe," Governor Bago stated. "The safety of our citizens is our paramount concern, and we encourage them to seek alternative means of spiritual fulfillment closer to home."

The Governor's advisory aims to protect citizens from potential dangers and ensure they remain vigilant regarding their travel decisions. He also encouraged local religious leaders and organizations to disseminate this message within their communities.
