the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris, swore in four newly appointed High Court Judges in a ceremony held at the Supreme Court in Abuja. The swearing-in comes as part of a strategic effort to strengthen the judiciary and enhance its capacity to handle an increasing number of cases efficiently.
The newly appointed judges, selected for their legal expertise, integrity, and commitment to justice, are expected to contribute significantly to the judicial process in Nigeria. Justice Idris commended the new judges for their exceptional qualifications and emphasized the importance of maintaining fairness, impartiality, and transparency in their roles.
"We trust that you will serve with dedication, upholding the rule of law and delivering justice to all, irrespective of status or background," said Justice Idris during the ceremony.
Additionally, the Chief Justice announced the approval of N300 million for the procurement of new vehicles to enhance the mobility of judges across the country. The decision aims to provide the judiciary with necessary resources, ensuring that judges can perform their duties effectively, especially in remote areas where transportation infrastructure is often limited.
