Her death has brought immense grief to Prof. Akintoye, their family, and all those who knew and loved her. As a strong pillar in both her family and the Yoruba community, Mrs. Akintoye was known for her resilience, compassion, and unwavering support for her husband’s leadership in the Yoruba self-determination cause.
Prof. Banji Akintoye, a renowned historian and political leader, expressed his profound sorrow at the loss of his dear wife, stating, "Aderonke was not just my wife; she was my partner, my confidante, and my greatest supporter. Her loss leaves an unfillable void in my heart and in the hearts of all who knew her. I will forever cherish her memory."
