President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following the tragic passing of his daughter, Fatima Kyari. Fatima, who was only 25 years old, succumbed to a protracted illness on Friday.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed deep sympathy for the loss endured by the Kyari family. He described the death of Fatima as an “irreparable and painful loss” and offered prayers for her soul's repose.

In addition to President Tinubu's message, Vice President Kashim Shettima also conveyed his condolences. He attended the funeral prayers held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja, where he prayed for Fatima’s peaceful repose and asked God to grant strength to the family as they navigate this profound loss.
