The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state to revalidate their membership at the ward level as part of the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure ahead of future political engagements.

Governor Eno made this call during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Uyo on Friday, where he emphasized the critical importance of accurate membership records for effective party organization and planning.

He stated, “The future of our party lies in the strength of its base. We must ensure that every genuine member is accounted for, and that begins with revalidating our membership at the ward level. It is not just a formality, but a strategic step toward building a more cohesive and responsive political movement.”

Governor Eno urged APC ward chairmen, local government executives, and state party officials to mobilize members to participate actively in the revalidation exercise. He also called on new and intending members to seize the opportunity to register and become part of the party’s renewed vision for service and development.

“We are building a party that is inclusive, transparent, and ready to deliver real change. Revalidating your membership is the first step to ensuring your voice is heard and your participation counts,” he added.

The revalidation exercise, which will be supervised by the national leadership of the party, is expected to run across all wards for the next three weeks. Party officials have been mandated to ensure a smooth, fair, and accessible process for all members.

Governor Eno concluded by reaffirming his commitment to party unity, urging members to remain loyal, disciplined, and focused on the larger vision of national development.
