The Labour Party (LP) has categorically dismissed recent reports suggesting any changes to the party's leadership following a purported Supreme Court ruling. The party's leadership remains intact, with Julius Abure continuing as the National Chairman.
In response to the circulating reports, the Labour Party has stated that no ruling has been issued by the Supreme Court that affects the standing of its leadership or the legitimacy of Julius Abure’s position. The party unequivocally affirms that Abure remains the duly elected and recognized leader of the party, and there is no cause for alarm or confusion among its members.
A statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Comrade Olufemi Adebayo, emphasized the party's commitment to democracy, transparency, and the rule of law. The statement clarified that the Labour Party continues to operate within the legal framework and will vigorously defend its leadership against any baseless claims or misrepresentations.
"We remain fully confident in the leadership of Julius Abure and the direction the party is taking under his guidance. The Labour Party is focused on promoting justice, equity, and good governance in Nigeria, and we will not be distracted by unfounded reports or attempts to destabilize our progress," Adebayo stated.
