The Chinese government has firmly denied allegations made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who claimed that China has been supplying weapons to Russia to support its ongoing conflict in Ukraine. In a statement issued today, the Chinese Foreign Ministry described the accusations as "groundless" and reiterated its commitment to neutrality in the Ukraine crisis.

Speaking at a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized, "China has never provided lethal weapons to any party involved in the Ukraine conflict. Our position on this issue has always been consistent and clear. We are actively working to promote a ceasefire and encourage peace talks."

The allegations surfaced during a briefing by President Zelenskyy, where he cited intelligence reports suggesting that China was supplying artillery and gunpowder to Russia and was involved in manufacturing certain types of weapons on Russian territory. In response, China dismissed these claims as political manipulation and reaffirmed its opposition to such accusations.

China has maintained close economic ties with Russia throughout the conflict but has consistently portrayed itself as a neutral party. The Chinese government has called for diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis and has urged all parties to engage in constructive dialogue.

This development comes amid heightened tensions and international scrutiny over China's role in the conflict. Western nations have expressed concerns about China's economic and diplomatic support for Russia, but Beijing continues to assert its impartiality.
