Samsung Electronics announced today the unexpected passing of Co-Chief Executive Officer Han Jong-hee, who died suddenly from a heart attack. His death, which occurred earlier this morning, has sent shockwaves through the company and the global tech industry. Han Jong-hee was a respected leader and instrumental in guiding Samsung’s innovations, particularly in the areas of display technologies and mobile devices.


With Han’s passing, Samsung Electronics has announced that Jun Young-hyun, the company’s other Co-CEO, will assume full responsibility as the sole Chief Executive Officer moving forward.
