Oyo Government Denies Reports of Olubadan's Death, Confirms Monarch is Hale and Hearty

The Oyo State Government has today refuted widespread rumors regarding the alleged death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun. In a statement issued by the state government, authorities assured the public that the respected monarch is alive, well, and in good health.


The government called for calm and urged the people of Oyo State and beyond to disregard the unfounded reports circulating on social media and other platforms. Officials stated that the Olubadan continues to perform his duties as the spiritual and traditional leader of Ibadanland, further confirming that he is hale and hearty.


The government also emphasized the importance of responsible reporting and urged media outlets to verify the authenticity of news before disseminating information that could cause unnecessary panic.


Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, expressed his deep concern over the false reports, stressing that such misinformation could undermine the stability and unity of the state.
