Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) proudly announces the appointment of its new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ndubisi Ogbogbo, who officially assumed office on March 13, 2025. Prof. Ogbogbo brings a wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Ogbogbo outlined his ambitious vision for the university, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a tradition of academic excellence through the "3-H principle of education"—a harmonious integration of the head, heart, and hands. He expressed his dedication to nurturing a university that is both locally impactful and internationally competitive.
"It is with great humility and profound gratitude that I accept the role of Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria," Prof. Ogbogbo stated. "My mission is to consolidate the foundations of this institution for sustained growth and development. Together, we will reconfigure academic traditions, eliminate ineffective practices, and embrace meaningful innovation to deliver value to our stakeholders."
Prof. Ogbogbo called on faculty, staff, and students to join him in building a scholarly community renowned for cutting-edge knowledge production and dissemination. He also pledged to prioritize the welfare of all members of the university community.
The Registrar of ADUN, Commodore Isaac Mankilik (retd.), described the occasion as a historic moment for the university. "This marks the beginning of a new chapter in our pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and societal impact. We are confident that under Prof. Ogbogbo's leadership, Admiralty University will reach greater heights and achieve remarkable milestones," he said.
