The Truth in Brotherhood (TIB) Movement has issued a stern warning to the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, against any further harassment or unlawful action towards human rights activist and political figure, Omoyele Sowore. In a statement released today, the movement condemned ongoing attempts to fabricate charges against Sowore, which they described as a clear violation of his fundamental rights.

The TIB Movement expressed concern over what it termed an increasingly worrying pattern of intimidation and harassment against Sowore, particularly in light of recent statements made by CSP Adejobi. The movement claims that the actions being taken are politically motivated and aimed at silencing dissenting voices, undermining Nigeria’s democracy, and threatening free speech.

"These attempts to fabricate charges against Omoyele Sowore are not only unlawful but also a grave abuse of power," said the spokesperson for the TIB Movement. "We call on CSP Adejobi and the Nigerian Police Force to immediately cease any further actions that could result in the unjust persecution of Sowore or any other citizen exercising their rights under the Constitution."

The TIB Movement stands in strong opposition to any form of political persecution and continues to advocate for the protection of fundamental freedoms, including freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly. The movement called on both national and international bodies to closely monitor the situation and ensure that Sowore’s rights are upheld, as well as to hold accountable any individuals found responsible for such unlawful activities.
