In a shocking revelation, Nigeria's Defence Chief has disclosed that terrorist groups operating in the region have been using a barbaric strategy to further their cause by systematically impregnating women in areas under their control. This disturbing practice, aimed at breeding a new generation of fighters, has raised grave concerns among the Nigerian military and international community.
Addressing the media, General Musa Abdullahi emphasized that these terrorist groups are exploiting women as part of their violent agenda. He noted that women, particularly those captured or forced into captivity, are subjected to sexual violence and abuse with the intention of creating future combatants who are ideologically loyal to these groups. The Defence Chief condemned the use of women as tools of war, calling it a violation of human rights and an affront to international humanitarian law.
"We are deeply concerned by this insidious tactic, which not only violates the dignity of women but also undermines the long-term stability of our nation," General Abdullahi stated. "These terrorists are using these heinous acts to perpetuate their ideology and force the next generation into their violent extremism. The Nigerian military is committed to not only addressing this issue through military action but also supporting humanitarian efforts to rescue and rehabilitate victims."
The Defence Chief confirmed that the Nigerian military, in partnership with global humanitarian organizations, is increasing its efforts to disrupt these terrorist networks, protect vulnerable civilians, and ensure that perpetrators of such atrocities are brought to justice.
