The music community is mourning the loss of Mukaila Senwele, a beloved Lagos-based comic musician known for his vibrant performances and unique style. Senwele, originally from the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, passed away unexpectedly on the night of January 24, 2025.
Senwele was widely recognized for his catchy phrase “Koni da fun ebo to se Costay,” which resonated with fans and socialites alike. His performances were characterized by a blend of humor and musical talent, earning him a special place in the hearts of many.
According to family sources, Mukaila exhibited no signs of illness prior to his sudden passing. He spent the day engaging with fans and had plans to visit his family home later that evening. Tragically, an emergency call was received by his family regarding his condition while he was with friends. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A family member expressed their shock at the news, stating, “There was no indication of sickness. We are devastated by this sudden loss.”
Senwele's Janazah (funeral prayer) is scheduled for Saturday morning, January 26, 2025, at his family residence in Ile Esinrogunjo. His passing is not only a loss for his family and friends but also for the wider music community that cherished his contributions to Nigerian entertainment.
