A serious incident occurred at Gimhae International Airport today when an Air Busan aircraft caught fire shortly after arriving at the gate. The aircraft, which was arriving from a domestic flight, was safely evacuated, and emergency responders immediately took action to contain the blaze.
At approximately 10:45 AM local time, smoke was observed coming from the engine compartment of the aircraft as it taxied to the gate. The crew followed established safety protocols and quickly initiated an emergency evacuation of all 134 passengers and crew members onboard.
