In a recent statement, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of the Nation Family (formerly known as SPAC Nation), has firmly denied claims regarding an imminent deportation order against him. Speaking in an interview with the BBC, Adegboyega emphasized, "There is no deportation order. Let me make that clear," while acknowledging that the legal proceedings surrounding his immigration status are ongoing.

Adegboyega's comments come in the wake of a UK immigration tribunal ruling that has sparked significant media attention. The tribunal had previously ordered his deportation following allegations of financial misconduct linked to his church, which reportedly involved fraud amounting to £1.87 million. These allegations include claims that church members were encouraged to engage in unethical financial practices, such as taking out large loans and committing benefit fraud.

Reflecting on his immigration history, Adegboyega revealed that he arrived in the UK on a visitor visa at the age of 25 in 2005 but lost track of time regarding his immigration status. He believed his family was managing his paperwork, which led to nearly a decade of unlawful stay. "I lost track of time," he stated, expressing regret over the situation.

Despite the tribunal's ruling, Adegboyega maintains that he has made significant contributions to the community through various charitable initiatives aimed at helping young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. He argues that these efforts have been misrepresented by former church members who have alleged exploitation and misconduct.
