The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has announced the suspension of Dr. Abdullahi Bichi, the Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG), and Muhammad Diggol, the Commissioner for Transport. This decision was made following multiple complaints regarding alleged abuse of power and disrespect towards party leadership.

The suspension was officially communicated by Hashimu Dungurawa, the Kano State NNPP chairman, during a press conference on Monday evening.

Dungurawa stated that the party could not tolerate actions undermining its leadership and structure. He emphasized that formal complaints received from local ward and government leadership were pivotal in confirming the allegations against the officials.

“The party cannot tolerate actions that undermine its leadership and structure. After receiving formal complaint letters from their wards, and upon confirmation of the allegations by the local leadership, we have no other option but to take this decisive step,” said Dungurawa.

The decision follows a thorough verification process by the leadership of NNPP in Kano North, led by Sulaiman Dambatta. The party aims to uphold its integrity and ensure that all members adhere to its principles and values.

This suspension comes at a time when the NNPP is addressing various internal challenges and is committed to maintaining discipline within its ranks. The party has also indicated plans to investigate other members in different states for similar alleged anti-party activities.
