The Deeper Life Bible Church has issued a strong warning to the Lagos State Government, urging an immediate halt to the demolition of its buildings and vowing to pursue legal action if the destruction continues.
In a statement released today, the church expressed deep concern over the recent demolitions affecting places of worship and other church-owned properties across Lagos. The leadership of Deeper Life Church emphasized that these actions not only disrupt religious activities but also infringe upon the fundamental right to worship, as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.
“The Lagos State Government must stop these unjust demolitions,” a spokesperson for the church declared. “We have followed due process in acquiring and developing our properties, and we will take all necessary legal steps to ensure our rights and those of our members are protected.”
The church further urged the government to engage in meaningful dialogue to resolve the issue, stressing that peaceful resolution is always preferable to legal battles. However, it reaffirmed its commitment to seeking justice if the government fails to reconsider its actions.
Deeper Life Bible Church remains steadfast in its mission to serve the community and uphold the principles of faith, unity, and justice. The church calls on all well-meaning Nigerians to support efforts to safeguard religious institutions from arbitrary government actions.
