The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has asserted that the political, economic, and social interests of the Southeast geopolitical zone are being better protected under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during a political stakeholders’ forum held in Owerri, the state capital, Governor Uzodimma emphasized that the Southeast's active engagement within the APC has yielded measurable dividends for the region, including infrastructure development, federal appointments, and increased national integration.
“Gone are the days when the Southeast was sidelined from the mainstream of national politics,” Governor Uzodimma said. “Today, our region is at the table, contributing to national policies and enjoying the benefits that come with political alignment.”
The Governor cited ongoing federal projects in the region, such as the second Niger Bridge, improved road networks, and increased federal presence, as tangible evidence of the APC’s commitment to inclusive governance.
