In a strategic move to strengthen global support for the Labour Party ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, Labour Party chieftain and leading figure in the Obidient Movement, Morris Monye, has embarked on a high-level engagement tour across the United States.

Monye, known for his grassroots mobilization and vocal advocacy for democratic reforms in Nigeria, met with key members of the Nigerian diaspora in cities including Washington D.C., Atlanta, Houston, and New York. The meetings were focused on consolidating support, deepening political engagement, and charting a unified path forward for the Obidient Movement globally.

“The energy and commitment from our brothers and sisters in the diaspora is truly inspiring,” said Monye during a town hall meeting in New York. “The 2027 elections will not only define Nigeria’s future but also show the power of a connected and conscious global Nigerian community.”

During the meetings, Monye emphasized the Labour Party’s ongoing reforms to integrate the Obidient Movement more closely into its political framework, while reaffirming the party’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and youth-driven governance.
