La Liga has officially confirmed that it will appeal the decision made by the Spanish Sports Council (CSD) regarding the eligibility of players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor to a higher court.

In a statement released today, La Liga expressed its dissatisfaction with the CSD’s ruling, which has stirred significant controversy within the football community. The league argues that the decision regarding the two players does not align with the spirit of fair competition and legal interpretation within Spanish football regulations.

“La Liga has always been committed to maintaining the integrity of the sport and ensuring a fair playing field for all teams. After reviewing the CSD's ruling, we firmly believe that the decision regarding Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor must be reconsidered,” stated a La Liga spokesperson. “We will be pursuing an appeal to the relevant higher courts to ensure that justice is served in this matter.”

The issue centers around the eligibility of both Olmo, a key player for FC Barcelona, and Pau Víctor, a promising young talent for Real Madrid, to continue playing in the current season after the CSD’s controversial decision. La Liga has emphasized that this appeal is not just about the players involved but about upholding the integrity and consistency of Spanish football regulations.
