A family in Bauchi is urgently seeking assistance following the abduction of their 7-year-old daughter, who was taken from a school bus in broad daylight. The incident occurred on January 22, 2025, and despite their immediate report to local authorities, the family claims the police have not taken prompt action to locate and rescue the child.
According to the parents, their daughter, who was traveling home from school in a bus, was forcibly taken by unknown individuals at a bus stop in the area of Bauchi. The parents immediately alerted the Bauchi State Police Command, but they allege that the response has been slow, with minimal updates and no apparent effort to apprehend the suspects.
"We are desperate," said the girl's father. "Our daughter is only 7 years old. We trusted the police to help us when we reported the crime, but instead of action, we’ve been met with delay and indifference. We fear for her safety every minute that passes. We just want our child back."
The family, supported by concerned community members, is now calling for urgent intervention from both state and federal authorities to locate their daughter and ensure her safe return. They have appealed to the Bauchi State Government, human rights organizations, and any individuals with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
"This is a matter of life and death for our child," the family stated. "We need the police to act with the urgency this situation demands. Time is critical, and we fear that if no immediate action is taken, the consequences will be dire."
