Following the outcome of the just concluded presidential election. The Labour Party challenged the result made by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC at the Appeal Court.

Despite a court order issued to INEC to allow the Labour Party to inspect the electoral materials, it was reported that INEC refuses a court order to allow the Labour Party access to the electoral materials.

However, the legal team of the Labour Party has arrived at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abuja to inspect materials and also have a meeting with officials of the commission.

The team, with about 60 lawyers, was led by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu. They are expected to brief journalists immediately after the meeting.

The meeting with the commission's officials, which is being held at Abuja, is aimed at commencing the process of inspection of electoral materials used for the February 25 presidential election.
