In a dramatic development in the ongoing legal saga involving the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Nigerian authorities have re-arrested Mr. Enenche Enenche in Abuja. The arrest comes amid an active trial over allegations of cyberstalking and criminal defamation against his brother, Pastor Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of the church.
Mr. Enenche, along with his brother Alexander Enenche and former Dunamis pastor Abraham Daniel, had previously been detained in January 2025 following a police invitation. The trio was accused of engaging in online activities deemed defamatory and injurious to the reputation of Pastor Paul Enenche.
According to court documents, the Nigeria Police Force secured a remand order from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, authorizing the detention of the accused at the Keffi Custodial Centre in Nasarawa State. The re-arrest reportedly follows a breach of the earlier bail agreement, which included conditions such as the removal of certain social media posts and a commitment to refrain from further public commentary on the matter.
Sources close to the case indicate that a fundamental rights application is expected to be filed by the defense team, challenging the legality of the re-arrest and continued detention.
