The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has issued a clear directive to all landowners within the Federal Capital Territory: Develop your allocated land within two years or risk forfeiture. This policy aims to curb the prevalence of underutilized plots and ensure the sustainable development of the territory.
This warning follows an increasing number of abandoned and undeveloped lands across the FCT, which contradicts the administration's vision of a well-planned and efficiently utilized capital city. In a bid to enforce urban planning regulations and promote orderly development, the FCTA has stated its firm resolve to reclaim and reallocate plots that remain undeveloped after the two-year grace period.
The administration has also reminded landowners of its open-door policy, offering support and addressing challenges faced during the development process. Landowners are encouraged to engage with FCTA officials to discuss any extenuating circumstances that may hinder compliance.
