Feyenoord is proud to announce the appointment of Robin van Persie as the club’s new Head Coach. The former Feyenoord star and legendary Dutch striker returns to his roots after an illustrious playing career, bringing both passion and expertise to the managerial role.

Van Persie, who spent the final years of his playing career at Feyenoord, has made a significant impact in the world of football with both club and country. With his exceptional playing experience, which includes a successful tenure at the highest levels with clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Fenerbahçe, as well as his role in leading the Netherlands national team, van Persie’s tactical acumen and leadership qualities are expected to bring a fresh energy to Feyenoord.

“I am absolutely thrilled to return to Feyenoord in this new role. The club means a great deal to me, and I am eager to help guide this talented team to success both in the Eredivisie and on the European stage,” said van Persie. “I look forward to working closely with the players and the entire Feyenoord family to achieve great things.”

Van Persie succeeds the outgoing head coach, who guided the team through a challenging period. With his deep understanding of the club’s philosophy and a keen eye for developing young talent, van Persie’s appointment is viewed as a long-term strategy aimed at securing future success for Feyenoord.

Feyenoord’s Chairman, Frank Arnesen, expressed his confidence in the new appointment, saying, “Robin van Persie’s arrival as Head Coach is a landmark moment for the club. His playing experience, leadership, and loyalty to Feyenoord make him the perfect fit to continue our mission of competing at the highest level. We are excited to see what the future holds under his guidance.”
