The Nigeria Police Force has announced the deployment of additional operatives to Owo town, Ondo State, following a violent clash between rival cult groups that resulted in the tragic deaths of four individuals.
The cult war, which erupted in the early hours of Monday, January 6, 2025, has sent shockwaves through the peaceful community of Owo. Eyewitnesses reported intense gunfire and a series of violent confrontations between members of the rival groups, leaving four individuals dead and several others injured. The identities of the deceased are currently being withheld pending further investigations.
In response to the escalating violence, the Ondo State Police Command has mobilized an increased presence of officers to restore order and apprehend those responsible for the deadly clash.
