The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has called on newly promoted officers to take immediate and effective measures to reduce road crashes in Plateau State. This appeal was made during a special briefing with the newly promoted officers, where the FRSC emphasized the urgent need for a concerted effort in ensuring road safety and minimizing accidents across the state.
The FRSC Plateau State Command highlighted the importance of professionalism, vigilance, and enhanced enforcement of road safety laws in tackling the rising incidence of road crashes in the region. With an increasing number of vehicles on the road, particularly during the festive season, the FRSC is prioritizing the safety of commuters and road users, urging officers to take proactive steps to prevent accidents.
Assistant Corps Commander for Plateau, Mrs. Adaora Emeka, in her statement, reiterated that the success of the FRSC's road safety campaigns is heavily reliant on the dedication and commitment of officers at all levels. "We must work together to reduce the number of lives lost on our roads. The newly promoted officers have an important role to play in ensuring that we achieve our mission of safer roads for everyone in Plateau," she said.
