Yobe State Governor Calls for Unity and Support on Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence Day, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has issued a heartfelt call for unity and support among Nigerians. In his Independence Day message, Governor Buni emphasized the importance of collective effort and cooperation in overcoming the nation’s challenges and achieving sustainable development.

 

Governor Buni highlighted the significance of this milestone, reflecting on Nigeria’s journey since gaining independence in 1960. He acknowledged the progress made in various sectors but also pointed out the ongoing challenges that require concerted efforts from all citizens.

 

“Today, as we celebrate our 64th Independence Anniversary, I urge all Nigerians to come together in unity and support our leaders in their efforts to build a stronger and more prosperous nation,” Governor Buni stated. “Our strength lies in our diversity, and it is through unity and cooperation that we can overcome our challenges and achieve our common goals.”

 

The Governor also called on Nigerians to pray for the country’s leadership, emphasizing the need for divine guidance and wisdom in navigating the complexities of governance. He expressed optimism that with the support and prayers of the citizens, Nigeria can overcome its current difficulties and emerge stronger.


Governor Buni reiterated his administration’s commitment to the development of Yobe State and the well-being of its people. He assured the citizens of continued efforts to improve infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security in the state.
