Kogi State Commissioner of Police Presents ₦47.6 Million Cheques to Families of Fallen Officers

In a heartfelt ceremony held at the Kogi State Police Command Headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, CP Idris Dauda Dabban, presented cheques totaling ₦47.6 million to the families of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This gesture underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to support the families of its fallen heroes.

 

The event was attended by senior police officers, government officials, and representatives of the bereaved families. The cheques were distributed to 20 families, each receiving financial support to help them cope with the loss of their loved ones.

 

 The financial assistance aims to provide immediate relief and support to the families of the deceased officers, ensuring they have the means to meet their essential needs.

 

CP Idris Dauda Dabban emphasized the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by the officers, stating, “These brave men and women laid down their lives to protect our communities. It is our duty to honor their memory and support their families in their time of need.”

 

 The ceremony also highlighted the solidarity within the police force and the broader community, as various stakeholders came together to show their support for the families.

 

The Commissioner of Police reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continue providing necessary support to the families of fallen officers. He also called on the government and private sector to join hands in supporting the welfare of police officers and their families.
